CAREER DEVELOPMENT TRAINING
The goal of this program is to mentor & train individuals from homeless shelters skills that utilize creativity & technology. These women from Pensacola's Waterfront Rescue Mission are taught how to communicate and understand by extensive hands on real life experiences, the process of creating, producing, and delivering media for community services. They take part in writing, coordinating, lighting, audio, cameras, directing & producing. They have been the core team in producing several live shows with audiences as well as their own. These women exercised what they were taught when the Citizens diplomacy council and the U.S. State Dept. brought university ministers of education and the boy scout troop from Saudi Arabia. The women were expected to train these international guests what they had learned. On a seperate training session the State dept. sent teens from Iraq that were also trained by these same women. DME initiated a team structure and created the WATERFRONT WOMEN'S PRODUCTION TEAM, and now these women produce for other ministries in the Gulf Coast Area.
